  1. It didn't really sound like the noise was coming from there ? Have u tested it ?
Does it fit straight onto the erbaspatcher!

I agree - yours sounds like an industrial fan. Mine sounds like a rocket. lol
The exhaust silencer has to be fitted at the end, or near as damn it to the end of the exhaust pipe.

  4. The combustion fan is the main noise for me but insulated and belly pan and I'll be inside think I'll be fine

  7. Loads done today spent all day on my back under the bus but its in !!
Today fitted the erbaspatcher into the bus ,made a strap across the middle allso out of exhaust strap as the mounts not quite supporting it due to the amount of welding Iv done !!
Fitted the fan and made a bracket (out of Vw chassis) allso fitted the fuel pump and coil to the bus , allso made a little bracket to hold the temp sensor on the top as it was missing ,
Allso made and conected a cable I made out of an old cable and brake cable outer to divert the heat into the rear under walk through (will for it up front at later date )
Allso made a pipe and an inlet for the blower fan as that bits missing made it with an old trampoline leg so the air blows to the front and coat of satin black
Then got the wiring loom and started to tackle all the wiring for it ran it upto the front and it's all connected and in place allso covered it all in split conduit allso the other wiring on the bus. Ran the r9 fuel hose to the tank not fixed it yet as need small self tappers , but over all it's in and I'm happy still got exhaust to make and fit and the inlet to the blower fan to allow the warm air to be sucked into the blower fan allso need a pipe for the combustion fan
Then crack on with the wiring in the front but all in all I'm happy and ran the bus still got heat from heat exchangers

Very nice install, I think sticking it under the van and using the original vents is an inspired idea.

I like it when someone decides what the best way is to do something and then just does whatever is necessary to actually make it happen, even if there is an easier but not quite as good way of doing the same thing.

Haha, I had no idea that it was supposed to fit underneath, Simon had been raised in my mind into some sort of VW God who could magically transform some bulky metal and wires into a superdooper heater cunningly hidden from the view of mere mortals.
In my mind he was on the same level as Isambard Kingdom Brunel or Bazelgette.....

...and then you spoiled it. :(
