hello my name is Si this is my 72 cross over bay "ozzy" Had it about 3 weeks now done quite a bit so far. Started of like this Seriously lacking any cool when I picked it up, since them I have fitted at 3" type 2 detectives narrowed beam 2.5 " drop spindles and adjustable IRS Spring plates. Oh and changed the wheels from some gas burner reps ,not sure if these are staying as the offset on the front wheels is giving me major rubbing problems .
Currently running 195 50 15 tyres on the front with a offset of et 20 , going to try some 165 5o 15s if that don't work then the gas burners will have to go and some 4.5" fusch reps will have to go on. If I can find any Any other suggestions for high offset 5x112 wheels are welcome, I'm thinking et 35 or 40 maybe
Cool looking bus. Is it definitely an Aus import? The wipers on Aussie buses normally go the "right" way for RHD.
Could have been. Maybe they couldn't get the right motor or something. Looks more like a dormobile roof too?
Thanks for the comments chaps .Defo an oz import it has all the paper work with it and the vin tag thing has oz stuff all over it . Oh and the biggest give away its not rusty lol The roof was fitted new in 05 but had the same dormobile one on it before.
It's had a new wiper mech at some point then as that's normally the biggest giveaway for Aussie buses!
Why - we never use em! Especially in QLD - if its raining its dangerous to be out in it, and 300 days of the year its not raining
So this is the current state of the interior, it's a bit home made looking and I definitely think there is room for improvement. I have started looking for a replacement set of cupboards does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks
Putting in new kitchen units recovering all the bed cushions and making new curtains, should look a million times better when it's done.
Another day another new set of wheels, hopefully this will be the last set as they fit perfectly with no rubbing on the front! specs 4.5" and 5.5" et20 Got some nice tuck on the front now! backs fit really nice resisting all temptations to lower it more ps its sitting a bit higher than normal because I have removed the old camper interior.
