August is also a good time as plenty of local fetes, animations music Fest Noz etc.... you gotta do a 'fest noz' - brilliant!!!!
When I used to travel on bike - I stayed at a Yelloh Village in Peros Geurec (think that's how it's spelt) Short walk from town and beach, good facilities on site aswell.
Just one " l " Our area is sunny warmer almost guaranteed in summer ,but it is a bit flat ,all depends on what your looking for in a trip/holiday...
a question about dogs. one site says dogs (excluding category 1 and 2) but what is a category 1 or 2 dog?
Category 1 and 2 dogs are classed as dangerous. Category 1: Attack dogs: Staffordshire terrier and American Staffordshire terrier (Pitbull terriers), Mastiff (Boerbull), Tosa Category 2: Guard dogs: Rottweiler, Staffordshire terrier and American Staffordshire terrier, Tosa In. Also cross bred dogs with "the appearance of a Rottweiller".

we caught the ferry down to Spain must be four years ago this summer and drove back to Cherbourg. With a two year old it was quite hard work.
I've done the Caen crossing a couple of times, never made it down as far as Spain though. Maybe next time!
went in bus 2005 portsmounth to st malo.carnac stones. locmariaquer is well worth a visit. grand menhir brise. all the campsites were lovely. and the best brittany cider and crepes to die for.
Going through the Pyraneees is brill mate.... I had three kids under six with no awning no breakdown cover and no plan ,we went caen ,crawled through france,spain,euro disney and got to watch the tour de france ,all pretty good to say mrs lef did not know how to map read...
