They’re KN Minator (it’s written on the wheel), http://home.btconnect.com/knwheelsltd/ The originals would have been RoStyle.
I picked a MG Midget up for someone the other day from London back to the IoW He called 3 days later asking for help as the front suspension had collapsed. The wishbone had detached from the front wheel !!!
Looking good Had 2 MGs, Loved them both Midget and BGT Tourer . My nephew works for Mech Spec who specialise in MG parts look them up if you need anything
Yep, for sure, you're right!! Little bugger chewed through two pieces of wire insulation. Thankfully the remnants left behind identified what wires were damaged. A check and wrap of insulation tape later and I'm hoping all will be ok.
Ofcourse, On the trailer, got back yesterday morning missing most of the traffic thankfully .... A good wash, cut back and gloss polish later.... Really pleased with how it's come up although it actually wasn't that bad
I've just spent 5 hours helping a mate replace all sorts of wiring on his 79 B after the overdrive wires shorted out under the gear lever and melted the loom - it only takes 5 mins to check them - as you change gear the wiring from that O/D switch rubs against the bodywork eventually the casing wears through. Undo the 4 screws holding the gaiter on and check all is well...............lovely B by the way!!
Turned it over before connecting battery and it felt good so straight on with battery and it turned over nice!! Only issue is not firing, fuel gauge showed empty so stuck in five litre cans worth of fuel and still nothing. Fuel gauge hasn't moved so I'm thinking top up with more fuel or dodgy fuel pump?? Tapping the fuel filter in the engine bay it didn't appear to have any fuel in it either??
Very nice mgb. I have been searching for 6 months now for a nice midget and just bought a rock solid 1976 USA spec, barn find. Two owners from new and was a California import many years ago now converted to rhd and only done 31.000 miles. Will take delivery in two weeks and will post pics and info then. Now where is my bobble hat.
