Lovely camper, very "mellow yellow", love the colour I'm new to these too, I changed all my fuel lines as they were cracking, changed the fuel filler hose and tank hose connector too. All were cracking/crazing and could see daylight through plus strong pong of petrol. Fitted a fireboy fire extinguisher too. Peace of mind
Thanks... I have noticed in the garage that there is a very strong pong of fuel. I will check this immediately.
There are plenty of threads about this, but basically the ethanol in modern petrol eats the rubber in fuel lines and other rubber components. I am part way through an engine conversion and have found the two 70mm dia hoses on the fuel filler neck are cracked and perished. The common ones to be eaten first are your fuel supply lines from tank to fuel pump and fuel pump to carb. Other lines to consider are the rubber joint pieces between the fuel breather system - this starts on top of the fuel tank and circles the engine bay
Looks just like ours. 1976 Cali import....same colour. Been all around Europe more than once without problems. Look after it and enjoy it.
With the current state of crap fuel pipe ,you want to check every year at service time ,have a bloody good look at them ,flex them around and go right up to the tank
