I have read that one can become much less stressed by simply not watching/listening to/reading the news. I gave up on the telly and radio a while ago and have never seen May or Trump move or heard their voices. Tomorrow is my birthday and as a gift to myself, I shall stop reading the news/news headlines too. Just today, I have deleted the bookmarked news pages from my mac/ipad/phone thing and am feeling happier already. I will do this for a year, anyone else feel up to the challenge of a stress free 12 months?
But you will never know when that meteor is due to hit, and so will be unprepared for instant oblivion
I very rarely watch the news , never read a paper .... I'm very insular in that I care very little unless it directly affects me or my family or my salary ..
Same here, only trouble is I enjoy a pub quiz now and again and my current affairs knowledge is Marmitee !
Many happy returns for tomorrow! I believe that the media have a secret agenda to make us all extremely depressed in order to make Mrs May's utterings seem more palatable.
If I did that I'd never have anything to post on Farcebook except my incredibly wonderful fashion tips for men.
My misses has'nt watch the news for 15 years ,she say's "nothing I can do about it" I sometimes wish we just had a good news channel and a bad news channel....
Try taking a copy of VIZ or something similar with you to while away the hours between your thrusts and squirts. But avoid any of the glossy magazines from the top shelf of the newsagents or your ablutions (or something else) could become more extended than you really want when sat on the throne.
From your discription of the running tap I feel it’s safe to say your not an anal retentive......just anal.
I think, all things considered, I'll stick with The Guardian, the Washington Post and The New Yorker if this is going to be your standard of daily reportage.
