Tell me to "hijack off" if this isn't a welcome question but, what is it like SELLING a LHD on "the mainland"?

@Geordie If you buy one in Spain there is a fee to pay to change ownership, it’s not as easy as here. It goes through a legal contract of purchase. Unless the seller has included the transfer cost in the purchase price that can be an added extra. I think I sold my seat Marbella for about €1100 and the transfer cost was €100 or so. Not sure if it is still the same but the transfer price goes up as vehicle cost increases.

You need to make sure no traffic fines or tax costs outstanding or you will be liable. Vehicles in Spain tend to be more expensive than over here, it was cheaper for us to buy a lhd camper in the UK and pay about a grand to get it spanish registered than buying similar in Spain.

Not sure if this link completely up to date but gives general gist.
