    Possibly.
I don’t need one but I’ve just let JK know that it can be purchased at a lower price elsewhere. If I did want one I still wouldn’t buy it from JK, even if they were competitive.

and it’s at a special price just now reduced from £291.50 to a mere £241.91. Unfortunately it’s on back order and £44.91 more expensive than Ricky Evans Motorsport (glass) Ltd.

Engine out, fuel lines replaced, filler neck replaced, which by the way was original! Also noticed on the filler cap surround, after cleaning layers of paint, it had "Oktan min 91 ROZ/RON" so figure this must original to. Also painted some of the engine bay. Rear shocks to go on tomorrow. Then tighten up head bolts, as was blowing from cylinder head.

Having not touched her for three months since the new daily arrived I decided to try to fix the loose alternator.

    Made it worse :(

I just kept punching until I could drive it...I didnt even get out of the drivers seat and drove it 15 miles listening to bits of glass showering down the heater vents, and sitting in a seat full of glass fragments.

  12. I guess I'm slightly more cautious as I stopped as soon as possible. :D

    Today I drove it back
I decided I wanted to get it back home. By 1400 the same day I had collected a new screen in my Peugeot 307SW from JK HQ .. my hand had stopped bleeding by the time I got the bus home. Bits of glass are still appearing under the pedals years later.

Took the rear brakes apart and it looks like the drums could do with a little skim, weeping cylinder one side and one drum missing both screws to hold it on - and one is sheared off :(. On the other hand a little bit more progress:

  16. Chuck your cylinders out and fit new ones. In fact, chuck everything in your rear brakes out (apart from the drums).

  17. Sorted out my hose collection. I feel cleansed.

I will be exhibiting them at The Tate later in the month, demonstrating various inside diameters through Interpretive Dance.

Big thanks to the guys at the Fellows for keeping my bus sheltered from the rain and for helping me with the fitting!

On the downside, I found quite a bite of rust under the seal... It will need repairing soon.

  19. That Subaru logo's going to cause trouble
