Now you just need to tell yourself to get that engine built and start using it! The rest can be done at any time.
No Doug Getting it water tight and stopping it rotting out worse comes first This needs to be done before the weather turns damper and colder. This also needs to be done in the engine bay so requires the engine out. There’s the wiring loom to sort and things like brake pipes to be made up callipers to refurb etc This can be done through the autumn, winter months The heads for the engine need machining to take the larger barrels and the cc of the combustion chambers altering to get the compresson ratio correct before it can be built It’s all stuff that takes time and money something I don’t have a lot of. What I need to do is carry on in my own logical order and try to keep making progress as weather conditions, time and money allow. I haven’t given up yet and don’t intend to! Nothing rarely goes well or lasts when things are just chucked together or corners cut.
out side of that , have you enjoyed camping in it , doing what you enjoy best out door pursuits , do the family enjoy it ,
paradox,Nov 18, 2011 the last time ye refurbed the brakes i nearly fell when i seen it started back in 2011
When we first bought the bus we had some great times in it so much so it got gradually worse because we just kept using it.
I’ve had my van since 2006 and a lots happened in that time including a second child coming along and 5 house moves.
All four members of the paraclan that weekend aswell A bit after that I drove down to Derbyshire and camped with zed and Dicky I think it was and met up with Bern and Jen plus lots of overnight wild camps and Day trips out. The van came back off the road to get stripped and to go and be sorted and painted and for the engine to be rebuilt as it was on its last legs It all seems to have gone downhill since. No worries though the dreams probably more alive than it has been for a long time and the good times will roll again
Onwards and upwards fella and a lot learned Tax and mot exempt next year aswell I’ll still get it motd when it goes back on the road just to check it over and to see the mot testers face
