As a full time mechanic I have access to many suppliers and get good trade prices. I also have a car parts discount card for Halfords. Today I bought a battery with three year warranty for £15 cheaper than anywhere else. It was on a shelf next to the till and I received a £10 gift voucher for spending over £50. Double result. Over the years I’ve spent thousands on tools but now I like to buy from the Halfords Advanced range. Not as good as Snap on etc but really good and a tenth of the price but still with life time guarantee. Don’t pay full price for the tools as they are often doing half price deals. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful at my two local stores as well. 10/10.
Yes your right,, Got lots of advanced stuff... Most of the staff are great... I suppose it depends on them enjoying their jobs..
Just don’t ask them any questions and there fine I have a trade card, it’s amazing some of the discounts, a wiper blade was half the shop price the outher day. I tend to check the price online before going in as there’s no set discount rates
Useless staff re knowledge fab tool range and offers if you have a trade card, staff are definitely friendly though!
What do you have to do to get a trade card? I've always thought they were expensive and I must only ever have talked to the work experience kid 'cos they were useless! Yes their tools are good though.
I applied online through the website than I had to take in my electricians certificate into a store and they gave me a card there and then. https://www.halfords.com/advice/motoring/trade-card/trade-card
I had to show them a pay slip to prove I worked in a garage. Didn’t cost anything. Really good discount off some things, oil etc.
