Hi all, Saying hello because I was the buyer of Beef's 1972 microbus. Picked it up a couple of days after Christmas and drove it straight home which is near Toulouse. Stopped at Dover and Le Mans and basically covered bit more than 800 miles in a couple of days. Everything about the bus was exactly as he'd said and the only slight blip was a snapped accelerator cable but luckily enough that was near the linkage so a bodged up repair got me home no trouble. Engine was sweet and I barely got through much oil. I'm not new to VWs (68 Beetle, 79 Devon Moonraker, 72 Danbury camper and a 98 Mexibug) but I reckon this is going to turn out to be in an all time favourite battle with the Danbury. I bought it after looking at loads of pics and having a good chat with Keith but couldn't fly over to check anything first. Says a lot about him that I got no nasty surprises at all - great to find that genuine people are still out there even though prices have got a bit silly. Anyway, here's a couple of pics if I can get it to work properly...
Welcome to the forum Ed, bus looks great..have fun and enjoy! BTW, post some pics up of your adventures in The Pyrenees, would you?
that's a great looking bus. glad to see the brexit (and associated currency chaos) is having some small benefit..

Salut Rosko, j'espere que vous avez des bonnes vacations a votre bus. (please feel free to correct my endings, tenses etc.)
