got tickets for the preview and gave them away. supposed to go see it at the cinema but couldn't bring myself to. saw it was on tonight and didn't watch. i know just how important it is and how harrowingly real it is for many, and because of that i've wimped out of watching it
We watched it in March last year, when it was on the Silver Screen at our local Odeon. Certainly is one to get you thinking.

I have a storey along those lines.Years ago, as a scaffolder, I suffered from carpel tunnel syndrome, from pulling the tubes off of the lorry.I had to stop work becuase of it. We had 2 children back then. I went to the dhss for help, as I have always paid my way. They wouldn’t help us becuase our two children had savings of around £400.00 each. They told us that we had to spend their money before we could start to claim anything. Our bills were getting worse and all the rest of it. My wife broke down in the centre as she also had always paid her way through life, but she gave up work as childcare was so dear, she would work all week and only be about £20.00 better off, so she gave up work to look after them. Somebody gave me a little lawn mower, and out of sheer desperation and will power, I went around mowing peoples lawn. After a couple of weeks, we had enough for a crappy little van. I pulled us out of the fire! That was 17 years ago, and now I run my own gardening business. I will never be wealthy, but I am usually busy enough. It’s sort of like his storey, but this country is a fecking joke when your down on your luck through no fault of your own!
Just watched the trailer for this as i hadn't even heard of it, looks amazing i'm gonna give it a go tonight
Don't come on hear with real life accounts of how broken the Social Welfare system is for normal, hate working people. It spoils the argument that the system is just full of scroungers and spongers.....
We had a 73year old bricklayer on the last site. Got on really well after I told him the care home had sent a search party out to find him
