One thing I have learned about these political polarising threads on all the forums is, you can say, think and rant all you want, you wont change anybodys mind and it wont make any difference to anything, what will happen will happen.
My mate is very political and never votes, when i asked him why he said that in a general election or referendum they never win or lose by one?

I believe the correct response to that is “Shut up Haynes!”...

This is a game of chess with the eu! May knew she would lose the vote but she needed that defeat to send a message in no uncertain terms to Barnier that this deal was unacceptable to Britain. If Barnier sees a no-deal becoming more likely (if Britain has the balls to go for it), he will crumple and concede or else he will become very unpopular with all the workers in Europe whose prosperity to a certain extent depends upon a smooth trading relationship with Britain.

  6. Cameron tried to negotiate with the EU over immigration and border controls but they sent him away with a flea in his ear. Cameron learned the hard way that the EU politicians were impossible to deal with.

We had a referendum and the British people voted and by a majority voted to leave the EU.

May has done her best in an atmosphere of backstabbing and undermining and poor support from our own politicians, to try to negotiate a Brexit deal with the equally squirmy EU politicians who will do anything to keep their gravy train going as long as possible.

So its not surprising its ended in failure.

The Brexit fiasco has at least shown the British people what a rotten shower politicians on both sides are. The shoddy behaviour of some of our politicians have shown them up as they really are.

So much time and money has been wasted on the Brexit farce, money which should have gone to support ordinary folks struggling to live in an atmosphere of constant Tory cut backs and neglect. Meanwhile they are feathering their own nests for as long as they can.

  13. Corbyn has kept a bit quiet for a while and just because May lost the vote on the Brexit deal, he has now popped up and going on about a general election.

What a buffoon, does he really think the British people have a taste for yet another round of voting for another load of clowns.

Just suppose there was another election and the Tories won by a small margin, would Labour demand another vote. These politicians have lost the plot and they are living in another world from ordinary folks.

Of course, Labour could demand a referendum to decide if we want a general election. and if that referendum said no to an election, then what?

  18. When push comes to shove, the MP's have decided to maintain the status quo and support May.

Corbyn will now go back into his shell until the next time he wants to come out to raise the temperature.

Latest from Barnier and his EU cronies is they want to keep talks going along. They send out mixed messages stating on the one hand they are not prepared to negotiate the agreement but on the other are willing to talk more about getting May to water down her must haves. The EU is all take and no give which is the trouble with them. Its nothing more than a club where the members join and are forced to accept the rules.

We don't like some of their rules, so we have to leave their club, but they don't want us to leave as they need our money and trade.

  19. What I don’t understand is with the state The EU is in Germany on the verge of a recession Italy the same if not worse Greece and Spain broke France in civil war with the yellow coats why do we think it’s a good idea to stay. I voted to leave and would do again but if they do not deliver the referendum result then I will never vote again for the rest of my life as there is no point. I’ve also been a Labour voter all my life like all of my family but last election I could not vote for that muppet Corbyn and will not vote Labour until he is gone.
