saw this non runner on facebook a few miles away, seems like i had to buy it was restored a long time ago then just left out in the garden Borrowed my mates van to collect it what a lovely coil wire carbs a bit gooey too, but the 2 strokes kept it from corroding those point dont look to clever
I so want a Vespa. I had a Taiwanese knockoff of a PX150 back in the 80’s. It would go just fast enough to kill ya. Just a basic P200E would do it. They are not so numerous in the northeastern US. California smog laws resulted in the 2 stroke models no longer being imported. Only 1 state but it was most of the US market.
tyres had been sat flat for 10 years, went through the mot though better safe than sorry so a threw caution to the wind and purchased 2 bra new tyres little bit of wood for the perfectly balanced scoot
Curious about your Vespa. What model is it? What size engine does it have? Do you have any plans to kit the engine, etc? I recently picked up a 1962 Vespa VBB 150. It is slower than the 80’s 150 I had years ago. The body is rough but not rusty. The engine has a lurchy third gear. I’m considering rebuilding the engine with a 177 piston kit. I hope to use it for longer distance rides on secondary roads so hoping to get the cruising speed closer to 55-60 mph. Nice scoot!
