Simplified version: Write your post as normal, but don’t submit it yet. Instead, click on “Upload a File” at the bottom of the text box, This will then pop up. Click “Choose file” and navigate (direct from your phone, laptop, pc etc) to the photo you wish to post. Select it and wait for it to upload. It’ll show as a thumbnail. Then click either “Insert as thumbnail” or “insert full image”, noting that it will appear where your curser is. Post thread. End. You can also copy / paste any image straight into a post (allegedly, I’ve never done it)!
on flickr, when you have the option to grab the link, if you select the BBC code, inside this code is an [ img ] then it says a filename/ link in between [ / img ] which you need to copy. this will work. I have just done it and i know nothing about computer code. i had to space out the [ i m g ] just for an exmple otherwise it just shows as a red cross againg. lol. complicated lol. Hope it helps.
All of the above is fine. Admins - and also maybe Mods, I'm not sure - have the additional ability to circumvent this process and stick pictures directly onto the TLB site. This gives pictures with a URL of (for example) [nobbc]http://thelatebay.com/index.php?action=media;sa=media;in=1;preview[/nobbc] which look super in a browser but unfortunately don't seem to work in new-fangled technology like tapatalk on android or on iphone. Is there a tapatalk setting/workaround that I'm missing? If not, can I impose on admins to consider slumming it on 3rd-party sites like the rest of us?
Anybody can upload to this site but as you say if your browsing with tapatalk you can't see the images.
I have written up a new guide for the new photobucket but it is still in beta testing - but still available to the public if they sign up. What should I do with the guide? add it to the existing and when the move over happens delete the original post? Post it up and let mods move it into one of your hidden boards till the change over? cheers
So how do you post images in your threads? This guide will hopefully make things a little easier for you to understand. We will be using Photobucket so if you dont have an account head over there and sign up, its free. www.photobucket.com Once you have logged in you will be presented with the following screen, this is your homepage: The next step is to click on 'UPLOAD' or 'UPLOAD MORE' A new screen will open, this is your upload page From here you have two options, you can either drag and drop the photos you wish to upload into the white square or click on browse files to select the images on your computer Once the images have been added you have the option to choose a location to upload, either to an existing folder or make a new folder. Click 'Upload to...Library' (This step can be skipped if you wish to upload all your images into a generic library folder.) If you wish to create a new album, select that option and fill in the details, then click create. This will be your selected album ready for uploading Click the upload button and wait for the process to finish Now you have uploaded your images you can either upload some more or view the album just added Next step is to hover your mouse over the photo you wish to share and a little gear symbol will appear, again hover your mouse over that and a list of options will show. click 'Get Media Links' Click on 'IMG Code' and it will copy the link for you Paste that link into your post and your done. As this is still in beta stage functions will be added such as selecting multiple images and code selection. I will amend this guide as and when.

Does anybody use Flickr for their photos? If so, are you having problems too since they updated the Flickr site? I copy the image location but it doesn't seem to work. I don't really want to transfer to Photobucket now, as I'm all set up in Flickr ...
Thanks, but nope - problem not solved Only got a laptop, and Dropbox doesn't seem to work for photos. Seems I won't be adding to the Show Us Your Pets thread just yet ...
Thanks, but no, don't worry about it ... I'll have another faff later, or maybe get mr moosey to do it when he's got a spare moment.
