Not a new game or a euphemism for anything... Do all 12v fridges need to be on show in vans? I want to "integrate" my fridge so its not visible. I would expect ventilation be a reason but would value the knowledge of those with fridges. Merci
they hide them in a westy, just looks like a unit, the vent is in the cupboard next to it to vent warm air, no need for external vents as it isn't gas.
Pah - I hid my speaker too..... Serious though, I would imagine the main reason they aren't that well hidden is because you want easy access,
Hidden fridges comes with their problems ,all the beer is in it and you come back blathered from the pub and you have no chance of finding a nightcap...
Only thing I can think off is the added depth to the cabinet! As long as it has good ventilation it will be fine.
As @rickyrooo1 says this is the Westy fridge installation - its under the lid with the campervan salt and pepper pots on(don't ask!). Theres a vent at the bottom of the unit and all the electrical stuff is in the vented box to the left. The only downside is that stuff tends to get dumped on the lid meaning you waste valuable drinking time moving it all when its beer o'clock
