http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=11505 We were looking for a place to stay close to Weston-Super-Mare for the weekend, and this is very handily placed. In Uphill, it's a short walk from the beach, a short walk from a couple of pubs (one of which is a dog-friendly pub - The Ship Inn) and camping around a lake in the marine centre: It's very close to Weston, in fact if you go to the local beach that's close to the campsite, its possible to walk along it all the way to Weston itself. It's no more than a couple of miles outside Weston itself. There's a choice of hardstanding or grass pitches, all positioned facing the lake, all have hookup included. We paid £18 for one night. The staff are friendly, and the toilets and showers are clean and well-kept (there's only one shower in each of the mens/ladies toilets, but they are currently building more of them). There's also a cafe on site, that serves everything from full english breakfast to sandwiches to full meals. They also allow dogs in the cafe too. There's public footpaths running past the campsite too, we didn't get chance to explore them, but if you fancied a walk, there's plenty to explore. Overall a lovely campsite in a good location, we will definitely be going back. We liked the overall dog-friendliness of the place.
I've not camped at that site but walked past it a few times whilst staying in Weston. Looks a good spot
Eaten in the cafe though. Interesting interior...it gives the impression of being partly dug into the hill behind with bare rock forming part of its ceiling in one corner. Foods okay too..especially after climbing over the hill on a drunken footpath.
Thanks for this recommendation we're doing a stopover here on Sunday on the way to Cornwall Looking forward to it.
ive been looking at this site as it looks very nice but is it not a little expensive 26 pounds a night 2 kids one child
