Gas bottle clamp?

Discussion in 'Camper Conversions' started by CandyCamper, May 10, 2016.

  1. I've been searching about looking for a suitable bottle clamp for a Campingaz 907 bottle however none of the clamps ( with the exception of one at £78 ) are listed as suitable for the 907.....

    So what's everyone using?

  2. nylon belt type ??

  3. looks ok lets face it its as strong as what fixings and your fixing it to really , looks like they have sold a few so they must be ok ???

  4. I'm sure they are ok but they are designed for callor size bottles..... so if that plastic bit is hard plastic the radius of the clamp would be wrong...... I was working on the basis that if it was suitable the seller wouldn't have missed the opportunity to list it as such...... none of the other similar clamps list the 907 either.....

    Is this what you use?

As for what I'm clamping it to I was planning a structural beam....

  5. no inside front of bed/seat base with just a nylon belt loop and buckles fixed to it , it cant really go anywhere in their ? similar under cooker in cupboard .

  6. Thanks.

Has anyone else got any tried and tested soloutions?

  7. I use the fixing band stuff that looks like a flattened bike chain.

Could you buy one and pad it out? The one in my van is too big but I'm afraid I just don't bother securing it

  10. I bought a simple belt and two eyelet system in the end.
