That sounds like one of those "too good to be true" moments!

We thought that but on chatting to the owners it's their way of thanking the regulars who have helped them build the pub up and make it great!

  5. Are you still thinking or has it gone dead in the head

Still thinking. Don't know when I am returning the kids to their mother. 30th or 31st. Then free to go and travel. Think the gf is signing up for another marathon on the 2nd!

Is carpenters farm open? I always go there. Nothing to do at night there though. Not exactly BBQ weather :)

  9. I take it you have some kind of heating?

Me and the Mrs slept in the bus on NYE a few years ago, we had been at a party and just ran a cable out the window and plugged an electric blanket in

Yup. We camped in a tent on April 4th I think. Overnight frost on the ground was being melted by our little coffee stove :)

  13. Last time I camped in a tent was in Bhutan in the Himalayas.
They told us we needed sleeping bags that went down to minus 15c, I assumed they were exaggerating
I woke up with ice on my sleeping bag - condensation from my breathing had frozen

No more tents for me, just luxury camping in the beast!
