Morning all, Has anyone attempted to split a 3/4 width rock n roll bed at the centre then weld in extension box section pieces to convert it to a full width bed? I am thinking about giving this a bash then getting it painted or powder coated.
Did @Lost En France do this? Can't remember but definitely someone made a 3/4 to full width with box section
Can't see why it wouldn't work. For the time involved in doing it though, you're probably better off selling yours and buying a full width.
I did it the other way round and turned a full width into a 3/4 by cutting and 're welding worked ok but there was a few head scratching moments if I remember rightly Sent from my SM-J500FN using Tapatalk
Can`t see any reason not to really , depends how confident you are at fabrication As mentioned before though , it might be easier to sell your 3/4 with cushions and buy a full width ... I MAY be interested if you decide to sell
This had crossed my mind, I will check on the prices of new ones and weigh up the options. Thanks guys.
