  1. The hills around Eskdale are looking stunning today, snow capped with blue skies, fingers crossed for the weekend!

  4. Apparently the site is a wee bit soggy at the moment and really needs a few days of dry weather to dry it out.
I'll bring my wellies and waterproofs anyway.

  5. I've got some wellies. Left them outside the front door last night and a fox came and peed in them. Will bring them anyway.

  14. Thats the bloke.

The Woolpack have put on a shuttle service with their army truck for the past 3 years which saves a 1/2 hour walk and the Boot inn and Brook house inn (with the couple of hundred whiskeys they stock) is only about 5 minutes walk from the site.

Looks like its back to rain again. :(

  15. I remember Chuck Fish from last year. I thought he was brilliant - he had a besotted young wife who obviously thought so too.

  18. Accelerator cable snapped 1 hour before we were due to leave, managed to get a spare from a splitty and join in to old one with chock block then coming via Carlisle we came across 3 different roads that were closed with no obvious diversions.

  19. I came over you way last week and no road works that I saw......they pop up all over...good fix on the cable:thumbsup:

  20. So.... we are apparently at Fisherground campsite not where you are

Will try and dry off a bit before working out where we have actually booked and paid for...

No this isn't an April fools!
