got new manifold from machine 7. just read on the just campers that it will need 3/8 unfx 1/2 barbed fitting with vehicle with servo breaks. can anybody help. dave.

Just curious, do you actually need a barbed fitting. Will the vacuum not hold it on? The fittings on my manifolds aren't barbed. Maybe I should change them?
just got new inlet manifold but because it got servo it needs different fitting then the other. it on the just campers web site saying it needs barbed fitting
new empi inlet.. its on jk that i been to source barbed fitting. put no joy anywhere . twin port 1600 with servo.

inlet manifold twin port single pre heat 1300-1600 increased flow . empi the only 1 available from machine 7. the mechanic fitting it says it will not fit on the servo. on the jk site same part. it says you need to source the barbed fitting. ? it also says its better than original.
just to let everybody no. these lovely parts .other vw shops flog. really easy to fit etc. had to get a friend to make to part. which is 13mm. one side . then 1/2 barbed on the other side.

if you look at the size there is still no 13mm. it goes from 12mm to 16mm no 13mm. thanks for the replies. I'm sorted now.
Sorry to keep on and on about this but everyone else seems to simply buy a fitting, tap the manifold and screw it in. If these the manifolds you have http://www.machine7.com/product_highslide_minimal.php?xProd=426 what did Machine7 say about the problem you had?
I have this one. machine7 say nothing about needing another part, but they mention on JK that you need to get one yourself as they don't sell it. Anyway all sorted out now, someone has made me the 13mm one I need. Thanks
