There is a Japanese theory about Ying and Yang, I believe, involving balance in life. So with my daily driver being an old workhorse 5.7 Hemi Jeep, and Stan and Bob being a pair of Westys (Early and Late Bay) the temptation for inner peace and balance in life meant another 5.7 was needed......meet Earl!
Yup, 68 Nova. Fairly faithful SS replica running 350ci with Edelbrock headers, Holley 4bbl etc. The worrying thing is that this year the combined age of Bob (73 Westy), Stan (69 Westy), Earl (the Nova) and me hits 200, and I am the least well-preserved! Though despite creaking in a morning I have no rust !
Parking is always a bonus! I see from your blog that you intend to do some camping in North Yorkshire? Feel free to gissa shout if you do, as being based in York I'll happily pop along and have a beer with you guys.
We will do, we love Yorkshire (& the city of York, we love The Last Drop Inn, Shambles Tavern & The Golden Fleece). It’ll possibly be May when we head that way, I’ll shout up when we know
Nice. A friend in New Hampshire had one. I remember the whole chassis twisting with torque when he revved it stationary. When we were out for a spin a 67 Mustang convertible pulled out in front and I could hear the Bullitt theme tune in my head. Unfortunately the roads were wet so the throttle had to be feathered very gently Awesome car though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ah! The Kings Square/Pavement/Shambles triangle. Ever made it to the Dark side (over river) to Ackhorne, Golden Ball, Swan or Slip? The latter 3 have excellent beer gardens for spring evenings, plus beer to match the pubs you mentioned.
