I`ll be trimming the old dear shortly and wondered if anyone could recommend a good off white stretchy material ?? It`ll be used for below the roof bed rails , around the windows down to a couple of inches below the window seals . I`ve got a converted panel van which are notoriously difficult to get a decent finish around the windows , hence the stretchy-ness .... Anyone used anything other than the normal perforated headliner stuff ?? Cheers in advance ...
Do you not like perforated? Woolies sell (or used to) material that's almost a match for the original VW stuff.
I used four way stretch carpet glued round my panel van windows - it’s made for this type of thing and looks ok and no doubt someone with a little bit more patience ( I have none) could make it look spot on
I used stretchy carpet for vans from http://www.megavanmats.com/vaninteriors.htm Unfortunately in a few years it’s faded from red to pink.
It's just I thought the rubber had to be a good tight fit against the metal, but then I know very little
