we have just got back from doing our first ever boot sale, we sold stuff that I would normally take to the charity shop or the dump, we got there at 7am and finished at midday and we made £355, I can’t believe how much we made, I think I’ll treat myself to some fishing tackle tomorrow
Most people wanted to look at the camper, one old chap even asked if he could sit in the drivers seat, apparently he toured Europe in one back in the early 70s
London prices. I just did a boot sale too. Only made £155, but really enjoyed it. Lots of friends popped by to see me too, which was nice. I honestly only sold junk, no give aways today at all.
most of the money came from fishing gear and tools but most of Holly’s clothes and toys sold, I’m hooked I’m doing another one soon
I had my Caravelle and even though it’s a relatively modern bus, people popped by waxing lyrical about them and when they saw I was selling some old beetle bits we got on to the aircooled. Surprised how many dubbers were there that seemed to own and love T4 caravelles
We fid one a couple of years back and people were drawn in by the bus ,taking pictures and posing by it .one old boy said he had been a judge at show an shine in various shows
A couple were heard saying as they walked away from Malcs van “ bloody horse boxes coming to our boot sale “
