Thanks for the love earlier in the thread I still pop in from time to time, but don’t get to keep up to date with stuff on here so much, which is a shame as it’s a great place. Just too busy with work and house renovations. Good luck with the resto ermintrude, doesn’t look too bad! If anyone’s interested in what i’m up to, I post most of my stuff on Facebook and Instagram. I’m called ‘Vintage Auto Repair’. Cheers!
Home tests on the pedal pan to find ways of getting rid of underseal in hard to reach places. Nitromors and scraping Could’ve done with some coarser wire wool too but am at home so used what I had. Rub with white sprits to get the last bits off... et voila! Obviously I would’ve used mechanical means on this but I wanted to use it as a test. Can’t get the zip wheel on this because I’ve left my angle grinder at the workshop
A finger file can get into most places , have a look at machinemart rather than Boots girly section... Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
Ha! Cheeky git. It’s mainly for places like this where I can only just get my hand in as long as I don’t want skin on my knuckles It’s also about speed as mick will probably kill me if I faff about too long!
This @Ermintrude... https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Silverline...and-Sander/5026965906?iid=382038518603&chn=ps Cheap , fast and easy - bit like your drunken twin
@Ermintrude, I just noticed your'e a multicoloured opera singing, daisy chewing bovine again......(notice the elaborate avoidance of the word cow)
Looks in good nick! I just sprayed Dynax UB on mine and stuck it back on, you're far more thorough! Tho' to be fair, it had already had the underseal removed.
Bet you can’t guess where I’ll be sticking this next time I see you! Thinking of you while I’m using this tonight!
home. covered in rust and underseal and *happy *ok, that could be down to the G&T's i've rewarded myself with
Today is achey day so I’m trying lazy rust removal methods. In the absence of caustic soda in the under sink cupboard (must’ve lobbed it down the drains) I’m trying some cheap spray over cleaner I found under there. Will it magically eat the rust? I think that’s a no I’m not getting the angle grinder out today, I’m clean and my arms hate me!
