Always knocking the delay knob on the end of the gun changing the delay, now glued at zero, iffy calibration.
I used a bog standard Accuspark. I didnt fancy the idea of trusting the calibration skills of the Chinese manufacturers so instead I just measured round the pulley and marked the correct advance and did it with a straight gun. Nice and simple.
^this. The delay type will only have cheap crappy electronics performing the delay function, so your timing's likely to be out of whack. I trust TDC and measuring round the pulley more.
I have a sealey lamp which is good, but as mentioned it's easy to knock the advance and I forget to check it every time! If I was purchasing again I think I'd avoid any advance adjustment, the Type 4 has it's own scale for this.
My light just died, we saying the accuspark guns are ok? They seem cheap! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
