Never dabbled with US stuff, the mounts to the heads are the same I believe, its all the exhaust and some tinware, heat exchangers that differ I believe
I think the US spec engines had EGR valve ports on the heads/exhaust. They can be blanked off without causing any problems.
Could you check, please? No rush, I'll look at mine too, mine was originally a 1700, so not the same, tho I dunno if that matters, or not.
I will double check, it will be next week as it’s at work & I’m off for a few days. All type 4 cases can be rebuilt from 1700-2056cc. The only difference is the later cases were single oil relief valve. Some also had a different crankcase breather.
Possibly, give me a chance to speak to a mate, see if he wants to go halves and work out how to store it, thanks.
Two types of heat exchangers, square and oval depending on heads but then there are different types of heat exchanger arrangements too.
