FOR SALE 1976 UK RHD Easy Project £6500

  1. Hi guys, following advice on another thread I decided to post this up, hope that's ok!
Ideal easy project for one of you guys who has the time and knowledge to finish this ready to use or sell for the new season.

Regretfully I am selling "Norris" a 1976 T2 bay window UK converted camper.
We bought this van in 2014 but unfortunately a lack of time and funds have meant that I literally cannot carry out the final jobs to complete him and do not want him to sit on the drive not being used like so many others.
    Items for MOT required.
Rubber dust covers for the front suspension and steering joints need replacing.
    drivers side wiper arm
    O/S/R suspension mount - rust
    N/S/F headlamp aim too high
Rear brakes need attention - I believe it needs new brake shoes (cylinders and pipes already replaced)
It has not been used for a few months, now its turning over but not firing it may just be damp or similar but I will try sort this week and update listing.
    New parts
New brake pads, wheel cylinders, all brake pipes, master cylinder and switch, battery, exhaust and J tubes.
New teal and white candystripe Viking roof canvas from poptop roofs at £460 and gas roof struts - canvas and bed frames needs fitting.
It has a new mdf camper kitchen covered in white vinyl with a new SMEV hob and sink with tap £500 (some cupboard doors still need fitting)
The rock and roll bed is homemade with operational brackets to turn into seat/bed, we were going to replace with a steel frame but wanted to test the 3/4 bed before buying one.
This is a genuine nice looking van, its not a show car by any standard but if your looking for a decent van at a good price this is the one, you will not be disappointed, the roof will sleep upto 3 people once finished and 2 on the bed makes this a great family camper that with a couple of weeks work will be up and ready for the season.
Any viewings are welcome, I know when I was shopping around for a van I came across loads of non genuine ads and scam artists, "Norris is part of the family, he is sat on our driveway in west Yorkshire, I have the last few mot's, the V5c, and a copy of old logbooks from the DVLA showing his journey from a butchers shop in Essex to us. I have all receipts for the things I have bought plus things that were done before I bought him, please feel free to come view and have a brew.
needs to be trailered/towed away no tax/mot
I have loads of pics from the ongoing work and would happily share them if required, if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to get in touch. I am in most evenings after 6pm or weekends if you want to come along and view before deciding if this is the van for you.

  10. Auction ends soon, its got active bidders and had 6 positive viewings (1 from a mile down the road) its still at a very reasonable price if anyone knows someone looking for a good easy project, it now starts and runs but the timing needs a little tweaking as I've only done it static and its aa running a bit rich. Thank you.

I agree, it looks a solid bus and (perish the thought) to cut some normal windows in wouldn't even need paint if you were careful.
