CAmpsite you may consider which we have stopped at twice now, 8 years ago and over recent August Bank Holiday, it's Barracks Farm just outside of Hartington, Derbyshire. it was a tenner a night for 2 kids ,2 adults and dog, no electric hook up. you pay the lil old lady in the farmhouse, and pitch in a field flanked by sheep and cows, another field has static caravans but don't let this put you off as there is only a few, toilets and showers are basic and you pay for hot water on a meter. but the beauty is the isolation. 45 min walk into Hartington which has 2 pubs,village shops along a lovely Beresford Dale. Basic and cheap , recommended.
