Baystone Bank Farm, Millom, Lake District

  1. We stayed at this small campsite a couple of weeks back, since some friends were up staying. Sadly not in the van (the engine is out currently) but that didn't dampen our enjoyment one bit. Very friendly owner, only £6 per night camping or campervan and kids under 10 and dogs free and gratis.
Be aware there's no hookup, but it's rumoured to be coming soon.

The site is nestled in a valley! In sight of the sea and there's a stream running through the site which separates the two fields. Considering how much it had rained the day before we got there, the ground was surprisingly well drained. Fires are allowed too, which is a bonus.

The facilities are basic, but clean - 2 showers, ladies & gents housed in a portakabin in one corner of the site next to the washing up sink.

A beautiful spot for a quiet stay! If I can find the photos, I'll upload them.
