I seen a Dog near Wells the other day

  8. Looks nice, friendly too! Am going to Norfolk in September so now have a choice of two sites!!

  9. Camped at Holkham Hall last weekend. Beautiful area. Will have to try this campsite soon.

Did your Mrs compete, mine did but we had the Dogs so had to camp elsewhere

  11. Yes. We left the dog with some friends so we could camp on site. Everything was very quiet at 10pm on Saturday. We're used to music until midnight so it was strange. Getting up at 5am was a bitch though.

How did your Mrs do? Bev came 11th in her age group in 6hrs 37mns. That hill up to the monument on the bike and run was hard.

Well done  Really nice place innit, We Camped at Deepdale just up the road which was also really nice, Yeah the early start was a bitch but the early finish was a benefit, Long hard race 6.14

  13. I've not really explored Norfolk as I always tended to head to the Lake District or Wales for the hills but it is very nice and we will be going back.
Cracking finishing time. Apparently the times are about 10 minutes slower than the Half Outlaw at Nottingham suggesting a harder course.

    You knows it :D

  16. That's a tough bike course with the rolling roads. Bev did it in 2006(ish) and she nearly freaked out. Her next outing is Ironman Wales in September so it's all training until then.

Lou trains round Rutland it's only 19 miles from us, Blimey Ironman Wales is up there with Lanzarote and Kona for hardness, good luck

  18. She's a gluten for punishment! She did Lanzarote in 1998 and Wales will be the first ironman since then. Kids have a lot to answer for.

  19. @The Bobdogs and myself tried Blue Skies campsite out at the weekend. Really friendly folks and a lovely site. Loos and showers good but basic. Site is slightly hilly so you may struggle for a level pitch and some road noise from the coast road next to the site. Short walk into Wells with a few good pubs to hunt out....
    Well worth a trip:thumbsup:
