Daisy 1973 full resto "5 years on"

Cheers few bits so far like me not putting safty wire through rear gear coupling got stuck in 1st at volksworld ,and a rusty heat ex needed welding !!
The only major thing is the fuel it bloody drinks lol but 250 miles a tank I recon I get mway is good !!

Yeah cheers was brill cheers barn seen some turtles on a pedal ow with the yuf's at the helm ,lovely place though! will put a few personal touches to the bus still but just had to get out enjoy it was driving me mad on the drive day and night !!

 

I've done at least 80,000 trouble free miles.

It's funny u say that iv been looking at a beetle !! Been to see a few but chose to enjoy daisy after all the work I put in and time !! Still playing with daisy to heating ect !! Got original roof rack to restore yet allso !!
Iv slept in daisy for over a month worked it out covering nearly 6000 miles (1 breakdown which was the head) done a dozen weddings allso !! Got some fab photos and memory's !! Best thing to date is build this bus !!

Oh Steve if only I knew what I knew now ... Back then But hey live and learn and I'm enjoying it !!

 

So did I mark if I'm honest !! Been looking at bays to do another but just can't bring myself to it yet wanna do a year in daisy enjoying it a bit !!

I though mine was getting a lot of work, you basically built a new one!

 

I no we couldn't weld to filler or fresh air but living the dream now

 

To top of the most amazing year covere ring over 7500 miles sleeping in my bus over 1 month it's exactly 1 year having my bus on the road and a dream magazine feature

 

Just spent a gobsmacked hour looking through your thread. Amazing and I hope you're enjoying your creation. Hats off!

 

We will never hear the end of having daisy printed in the mags now!
