FOR SALE Di Blasi. The coolest accessory you could ever buy for your VW

  1. With regret and with a heavy heart I offer the answer to all your woes.
My much loved, admired Di Blasi folding moped.
It’s 99 (late)model which is actually the most versatile of the lot.
“How’s that”? I hear you cry.
    Well I’ll tell you.
It means it was possible to fit a brand spanking new barrel, piston etc to take it up to a massive 75cc! shh don’t tell anyone.
Now that is a massive improvement and it means rather sprightly acceleration up to its max speed plus its hill climbing ability is greatly improved.
I’ve also fitted a new Variator and final belt drive. New front brake cable, new speedo cable and new magneto.
All spares are readily available and relatively cheap so much so the main part of the frame had a small crack starting at the footrest mount and rather than mess about with time off the road, welding/painting I replaced that too
This little gem is fully Road legal and fabulous to take away (25kg) in its bag! To use when your at a rally or off to nip to the shops.
    Mot 26may 18, taxed (I know it’s not transferable but it’s £18)
Insurance for me old, fat, Luton no ncb £98 Fully comp with breakdown from EBike.
Honestly it’s a real cute little thing but I have to let it go
I’m after £1000 for it that’s what they fetch usable on eBay.
None of those have the big bore fitted or all the new parts. Most don’t have the DiBlasi carry bag.
Obviously this is no full size moped and takes a little getting used to but honest they are “magnifico!”
It will still need running in, it really is that fresh!
I carry it in my bus in its bag or sometimes on my bike rack on the back.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Top idea! I've got my bike licence so I could even ferry art around on the back :)

Perhaps you two could go halves
The photos are old/when I first got it.
    I’ll take fresh tomorrow.
If anyone wants a little video of it being ridden PM me your phone number for WhatsApp or iMessage
    I can’t upload a video on here

  12. I knew I’d inspired someone on here to buy one, just couldn’t remember who. Sorry.
Tell them how fab/funny/useful/cool they are.
Just gotta watch the arm wrenching power of my 75cc

  17. I love it too. But is it just me or does the folded version look bigger?

It’s just you, the engine drops under the frame and the handle bars drop down too, it gets very small when folded

  19. It’s a combo of you and my poor photos
It’s really quite small folded when it was designed they had taking it on light aircraft and yachts in mind.
Obviously people with barges like them too for popping to the shops when they’re moored up a mile or two away.
That’s what I use it for.
When we camp and all set up I’ve got a means of shopping etc with out breaking camp.

  20. Hmmm just been thinking about how I'm going to get to the local towns when I'm abroad next year in a motorhome for the essentials and like the look of this but I'm 6'3 tall

I can still remember my first moped - a Honda Melody that I had to take the granny shopping basket off before using it for college and used to pick it up between my legs to turn it around :D
