WANTED dipstick type 4

has anyone have a spare dipstick for this hole they want to sell, also I am a bit confused as to why I don't have a bit sticking out like I have seen in other type 4's

 

The tube that goes there is about 6 1/2 inches long, not sure what way it goes in from !!

 

You’ll need the tube (and the boot for the oval hole) or it will leak oil.

 

I have a tube that comes out the other end of the fan shroud and into the sump, i fitted a new rubber boot when i assembled so does this mean that mine has been broken off at some point...?

 

It looks like it’s broken. The tube in the fan shroud should extend through the alternator tin sealed with an oval grommet. And there should be a grommet around the filler tube too.

That’s a good point. I also have one (maybe 2 ) that I need to get rid off.
