Anyone gracing the lawns with their bus this year? I will be there with the whole teenage clan and frazzled wife if anyone wants to say hello.
No takers? I thought it would have been popular with the Northerners. Or maybe it's me and you're all going somewhere else....? Paranoid of Halifax PS. Thanks for all your help with the new Dizzy John. My new spare wheel came this morning but I reckon i can manage that, just!
I was suppose to go but I think finds are hindering plans but might still make it Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
I am going. It's thrown it down every year I've been . Also if your taking the kids I supose it depends on how old they are but there's a lot of the boom boom bass brigade there and it's very noisy very late into the night .no patrol to stop them . Also and am I being miserable here but there doesn't seem to be anything different each year , how many times can you watch a lad jump off the roof of a van on his bike for instance .also the lad on the tannoy through the day seems to like the sound of his own voice . Miserable get arnt I.
Fair play Sprog. I get where you're coming from. We have been before though and know some of the heathens of who you speak. Best advice i can give is turn right as you as you get on the field and head as far up as possible. The Woofers, Tweeters and Boomers all turn left and congregate at t'other end.
Just giving this thread a bump as the date is this Fri. If you spot a roguishly good looking Northerner with a show winning van.....that's not me.
Been the last two years , fantastic number of vans etc in camping . Entry expensive And stalls full of none related tat . Not going again !
Went a few years ago - was terrible with loads of chavs kicking out drum and bass all night, lots of people taking drugs and stuff nicked from the camping area. Wont go back - ever again
Well I went and took my 92 year old mother . We parked in the family camping and it was overall a great experience. It did rain but it is summer in England . There didn't seem to be the boom boom brigade that I could hear but a rather an amusing " where's Alan " Mexican wave shout out at night. The lad on the tannoy was non existent thank god . The lad on the bike jumping off van roof was there though but at other end . I love auto jumble but the was very little there this year a big disappointment . I was able to get a lift by security to transport mum to and from the van to the show field which was nice A BIG thank you also to St John's ambulance who patched up the wife's hand after first use with a new knife
