Hi dicky.. thanks for this.. The vehicle is currently work and I was led to believe you need a current MOT before you can declare as exempt, is this right? Although now you have me thinking! Regardless I will probably get a mechanic to check annually anyway for piece of mind and while it's in I've asked them to balance the carbs. It was nice to drive her again this morning... even if a hub cap did fall off as we left the drive!
Ha... well I had a call from the mechanic saying the MOT man is refusing to drive the van back to the mechanics garage because there is a terrible noise coming from the gearbox... that noise was not there when I dropped it off so who knows what's wrong... (I've had the gearbox previously rebuilt) Ahh.... I suspect we are back in the garage for another 8 years!!! Gotta love em!
