How to fit a Cobra Alarm in a Late Bay window

  2. A question that's been on my mind for a bit. Is it the alarm that is Thatcham Cat 1, regardless of the fitter or does the fitter need to qualified to fit the Alarm to qualify it to be Cat 1 in the insurance companys' mind?

Or to put it another way, if I installed it myself would the insurance company still acknowledge it?

  3. I have the reminiscence of a car alarm in Pinky from some of the POs - there is the door catches, LED, speakers etc

But it is not wired up these day ....

  6. ^^^ thats good to know, saves some money from the fitting labour and if it's only £25 ish I'm sure I'll save that on the insurance as well as having piece of mind the van is kinda safe.

  7. Nice how to article, but i'm not sure how wise it is to show where the alarm is fitted and how its wired on an open forum. Maybe i'm just being over cautious though.

  8. fair point
