In six weeks time the wife and I will be embarking on a trip from NE Scotland to Pendine in South Wales. Purpose of the trp is three fold, annual holiday, first major trip for the van and a weekend at Pendine Sands to take in the Vintage Hot Rod Association hot rod races .

My Plan is to keep off the motorways and manage the trip so it takes in the scenic routes and I hoped to travel down the west coast of wales taking in a few high lights, camping overnight and arriving pendine the following day for the weekend.. Camping has already been arranged and I hope to occupy the spot I usually pitched my tent on in previous years .. :)

Im not familiar with Wales but im sure there is plenty to see especially on the coastal route .. any ideas for places to visit on the hop and potential camping spots mid way would be welcome.. any pics of expected sights would also be cool..

    Many thanks ..

If you are close to St. Davids, you will love the city (its a small town really but is classed a City). Well worthwhile

Harlech castle, Shell Island if you're not already camping there, Coed y Brenin the original and best mountain bike trail centre a few miles inland.
