    Christmas tree up, cards all sent, presents bought and wrapped, just going to tuck into our first Christmas dinner of the festive season .......... yeah right if it’s anything like last year we were Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve, and my wife put the last of the Christmas decorations up on Christmas morning, we are the most unorganised family in Britain when it comes to Christmas

    Agree. Personally I'd rather not see so much as a piece of tinsel til December 1st at the very earliest.

    I’ve been on the mince pies and Christmas pud since September.
    I pity the people I see / hear banging on about Christmas before about December 10th though.

    Every year it gets earlier and earlier so the big congloms can make even more money and the suckers fall for it, every year. Christmas shouldn't start untill December. If it gets any earlier, it'll start in January and run through.

    A few years ago I did all my Xmas shopping on Xmas eve in the big Sainsbury's in Sheffield. Some stuff was already on sale :thumbsup:. I am still impressed by my only needing to give up a couple of hours, and get some bargains. I said as such to the other half a couple of days ago and she didn't share my glee but instead said she'd rather I put more thought into my presents!!!

    This year I'm doing it all in charity shops instead. Win win, I don't have to spend stupid amounts of cash on giving gifts to friends who already have everything and the charities get some cash in :)

    I love Christmas, despite what me forum moniker might lead you to believe ;) but even I don't start anything to do with it before November is done.
    Mind you, once December rolls around, it'll be Booker T 'Jingle Bells' on the stereo and the countdown begins :D
