So, any one else here? There’s loads of Bays in evidence as I walk around the (extremely rammed) van field. I’m parked next to a Neptune Blue tin top, there’s a lovely blue unconverted cross over Panel van in the next row, over by the hedge there’s a white over red 79, and down the end of my row a beige pop top. And that’s just in the overflow car park next to the signs saying No Camping. So come on, any one else here joining the John Lewis Generation of Sebastian and Tabitha Double-Barrel, and young Jocasta, Jasper and baby Flora, radio flyers assembled and ready to go? The weather is muggy and we’re about to see the first rain for seven weeks. Grab your top hat and flying goggles, it’s festival time!
I worked in a burger tent there once called "Well Burger Me" Shoved my finger into the electric grater to remove a lump of stuck cheddar; that made a mess!
I looked out the window at 9 o’clock this morning and I’m pretty sure that what the neighbours were doing. There’ll be a tent somewhere with an earnest lady in a jumper knitted out of armpit hair and stinging nettles who will do it for me I’m sure. Next to the yoga mats and face painting....
how much was camping etc Sarah, can't see a price on the website? Have fun, next year maybe Desmond will be ready to go.........
Despite my mickey taking about the type of folk who go, it is actually a really lovely festival, very relaxed and friendly, and everyone is very ‘polite’! The grounds of the Larmer Tree gardens are beautiful and make it a very magical few days. I got an early bird ticket and I think it was about £160 plus a van pass on top which might have been around £40. I tend to treat it as a holiday with added music! I would recommend it
I'll get me act together for next year then and give it a go, prepare for a monsoon like weather pattern.
