Looks Odd

Is this right or is something missing.
This was done by the previous owner but it just doesn't look right to me.

Looks like they have changed the outer sill and it’s bent in, in the middle.

I'm gonna guess the bottom of the inner b post is missing and the outer b post and rear of the front wheel arch are too low and possibly the sill is a little high at the front.

All this also depends on what the gaps are like round the slider. But TBH the sill work does look a 'little' rough.

 

I would say they have fitted the front arch and B pillar incorrectly, do you know what work it’s had ?

When i got it it had no cargo floor in and all chassis work was complete including new front and rear wheel arches.

It’s possible to move the B pillar and alter the lower Edge of the arch to make it correct

 

As been said it’s wrong
And should get it put right

Birds will nest in there otherwise

 

On a positive note, it looks like each panel is only tacked on so should come off easily

 

Stop worrying put some expansion filler in it, have a beer and a smoke drive it and enjoy

 

What's the cab door gap like? It looks like the arch was fitted too low. I would also have a butcher's at how the inner sill sits on the end of the top hats.. does the sliding door sit flush with the sill all along when it's shut?

Gaps are certainly not perfect.
But im not after a show bus i just want a nice bus so me n the missus can travel around an meet friendly vw people.
But i love the help and advice i get on here as this is the first bus ive owned.
