I had lucky near miss today! I was sawing off a pipe outside halfway up a wall. Due to awkward position I had one foot on a wheelie bin, the other on a ladder! Not sure which but one of them slipped!! Fortunately the bin fell forwards and I fell backwards so that my first point of my back landing was on the bin. I then bounced off and landed on the patio floor. Hurrah for dreads cushioning my head, fat/muscle cushioning my back Think I may ache more tomorrow but only bit stiff today xx
Yes lucky gal , you should have someone footing tings like that , good job not insurance job . Hope it improves ,backs are not good at bouncing !!
My colleague, working in the house, legged it down thinking I’d be broken. The ladder and a chair had also gone flying so she’d heard it from upstairs. I’ve decided to ditch Pilates class tonight and have a beer instead

Does that count as a cat life gone? At least you're OK, in future you will be required to do a ladder safety course and a full risk assessment of every job.
For a brief moment I had a horrible realisation that I was going to land on my back and this may be about to hurt - a lot! I had the same thought last time I accidentally kicked the steps away whilst trying to pull myself into a loft. That time I thought I was going to land on my back at the bottom of the stairs . Fortunately I didn’t, though I did pull my arm muscles wedging myself in the loft hatch so that I didn’t fall down the stairs. I think I may be two lives gone @Surfari
Why do us plumbers and gas engineers always look for a short cut I am always standing on chairs instead of going to my van to get a step ladder, glad to hear your ok Merlin
