Meghan was purchased in late 2017 from an 80 year old man in Hythe, Kent. He had partially resprayed the van and replaced several panels making this a very attractive project to me. The van was SORN for 10 years and now she rules the road once again! Once we trailered the van home I welded several area under the van. Fitted a brand new JK front beam with all new suspension, brakes and steering box refurbished. Meghan received a new 2.0 litre aircooled engine and her standard gearbox refurbished. Once she was MOTed and moving project we set to work on the interior and repairing the rusty roof. I decided I wanted a van to transport at least 6 people and have a full width bed for comfort. An innovative sliding cooking pod was built to enable alfresco cooking. And so the van did not start smelling of fry ups. Meghan has a retro beige and brown interior, and butterfly curtains to remind you she is a girl at heart.
