I'm going to look at a seat inca today/tomorrow if I buy it you can have my trusty workhorse Citroen c15 for £300 , tatty but 11 months mot, starts and goes. Roof rack. No power steering tho. I've had it a few years and parking in terrace house no space streets has finally made me want a power steering model. @Ozziedog

  2. My work vehicles in chronological order.

Berlingo petrol converted to run on lpg -used to blow the inlet manifold sort when you switch to gas - think it needed a service.

Started working in London 3 days a week and they paid for petrol
So bought an 1994 E280 Mercedes estate lovely quick car but electrics themselves so got

A 2002 petrol vw Passat sold it when I started up back in Bristol

Skimmed some rooms in exchange for a 2002 Mercedes Vito - great but got set on fire when a motorcycle next to it was arsoned

Bought a 2004 Renault trafic off a Lybian on the street. Knackered when u bought it and really knackered when I finished with it.

A 2013 transit for half the price of a similar T5 but currently back at garage I bought it off for the 3rd and final time as they are have been too tight to put the new dpf on it until now. - wish I'd bought another banger!!

That’s exactly how it is in Brizzal mate, so that’s my cunning plan because I used to get nailed almost on a monthly basis with the light fingered brigade helping themselves to my tools which is what caused me to get out of the building game after a while. So the plan is just to keep basic tools in the cavernous rear area which will be covered with the flap in the back, so to all intents and purposes it’s just an old car parked there and not a van full of treasures to be cash converted when ready for their next fix. Stage 2 is a lot more space available if I slide the whole back seat forwards and unless you stare into the thing, you wouldn’t twig it was being used as more than a car. Stage 3 is put all seats down and it’s a good sized load area. Downside is the weight capacity but I’m sixty one and not planning on getting ready for Britain’s strongest man, a dozen roof tiles will be about it I think.
So that’s exactly why I’ve gone that way. I might even get the Little Dog to black out the rear windows to make it even more serene for want of a better word.

Ahhhh cheers you , that is so kind. Let’s hope the Inca is as good. I don’t think I can have a van unless I employ a security guard, because of the helpful people who keep helping me by making me buy new tools, rather kind of them I guess. That little C15 would have been ace if it weren’t for the low lifes that keep filching peeps tools.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, thanks for your thoughts gang, see you soon, in a field!:);):)

I’m over Kingswood, I’ve just finished a stint just up from you between the Wells road and Redcatch Hill. And yes, so long as it’s not loads, theys all a bit damp them blokeys this time of year. Now make my day and tell me it’s thermalites ;). Got a couple of days picking me nose next week.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, waiting on blinkin scaffolders, erection specialists my eye :);):)

  6. We're on Ravenhill Road so very close to where you were.

We are doing a small single story extension on our place- I can do the inside but need the shell putting up.

Dense block and thermalite cavity wall 3 metres out on one side and tie in to existing half width smaller extension on the other. Not big job but I can't lay
blocks. Not until new year.. I have drawings if interested? Think I've got ground works sorted but his brickie went mad his price!

@Ozziedog youve not seen my van!! It's got moss on the roof, duct tape repair on the front bumper, a 2014 tax disc, a bonnet about to rust through etc etc. Spookily although quite a few vans have been broken into the thieves seem to have ignored my looks like it's been abandoned van :)
