FOR SALE our beloved 1975 westfalia lottie

  1. It has been decided that our beloved bay lottie is to go as we cant justify it being sat around for 10mths of the year, its a 75 with 2 previous owners that were from caister by sea,its got 93k on the clock which i believe to be genuine going back through past history,it has a std 1600 twin port with a quiet pack and goes pretty decent to be fair,i think the timing is out a little as it does cough a little at lower revs, only noticed since having aftermarket exhaust on! Its lowered all round, not by silly amounts but enough to make it look better, brm's with yokohama's all round, its had a full interior refurb, all new seats, cards carpets etc and the old units were removed as not practical, this cost us a good few grand!! It has a buddy seat in the front and has 6 seat belts in,the bodywork has clearly been painted at some point but still looks beautiful and shines up a treat,it does come with 11mths mot and had a little welding on the passenger sill and under cab step and that now is all good, its very solid underneath,
in the last 1k its had new clutch kit, main oil seal, new pads, full service,2 new front arms, new front shocks, the body work is clean but not mint, the cab doors are gone at the bottom but to be fair not too noticeable from the outside as the same for the tailgate, its bubbly round the front screen and fresh air vent, also the sliding door has had previous work, the pop top material is showing its age and has a few tears that have been duck taped but it does not leak at all! I have a number of parts and camping set up that can be negotiated into the deal such as new complete front panel,a mint rust free tailgate, mint front bumper, drive away awning, toilet, toilet tent the lot!
This sale is with a heavy heart but any questions or viewings are more than welcome,im after offers around £11500,or would take a nice beetle up to the value of 4kish
Thanks for reading, and also this is an emotional sale so please no time wasters,if you require any more info or pics please just ask, viewing is recommended

    Bargain!

  3. i would say realistic dude, needs a bit of bodywork to make it sweet as,if this was done it would be more money

  4. Too cheap. It's a nice looking westie. Work needed or not if it's as solid as you say I think you are doing yourself out of a few ££

I'd eBay it for approx 15k and take a close offer. There's average tin tops going for £11.5k

    Good luck.

  5. cheers man,i dont really want it to be another van stuck on ebay!!! it has all the front panel and tailgate to go with it,i was collecting bits for the day when we had all the bodywork done, but due to family cicumstances etc its just not possible atm,i think the price is a realistic price and reflects the bits that need doing

Very tidy looking bus, I like the seat trims, good luck with the sale. I'd say as it's an emotional sale best going with what you're happy with and don't risk it dragging on to get more cash. I'm rubbish at selling stuff tho and never ask enough!
