  3. I won’t disagree with that

I suppose always being skint and a adapt and overcome approach
Has forced my path into restoring or making good

It’s not an easy path though

  4. Cracking job. It looks like you're getting a bit of energy back, hope that's a good sign?

  7. One step forward three steps back ffs
I lifted the poptop to find this

So that and the canvas have now been removed and I’m going to have to try and remove the skylight without breaking it and re seal it.

You could leave it off altogether and put a big square patch over the hole. Or a piece of perspex

  9. That thought has crossed my mind
But hopefully the skylight will stay in one piece as I like having the ventilation it provides when open.

  10. Steel d frame painted and the opening cab door quarter light reassembled and fitted with new seals.
God that was a fiddly job

  11. The satin black compliments the green so much better than the bright anodised original finish

  12. I’ve cleaned all the dry grease and muck out of the cab door window mechanism
Regreased it and given the exterior of it all a brush over with cavity wax.
It’s silky smooth now and should give many more years of service.

Also whilst the cab door is bare I’ve had a good daub into the nooks and crannies and a brush round with the cavity wax

  17. My cab door catch is fouling the b pillar ever so slightly

How much clearance should there be?
Do I need to shim between the door hinges and the hinge mounts on the van to move the rear edge of the door further away from the b pillar?
