Passenger seat mounts

  1. I’m in need of some help as to how the front passenger seat is secured to the bus

I have this on the van

And this on the rear of the seat

Which seem to fit together ok.
I have nothing on the base of the seat or on the bus itself for securing the bottom of the seat

I guess I am missing some parts but have no idea what

    Also apologies for the mess,

  2. You are missing the runners that should be welded to the wheel tub - also the runners on the seat base are missing . I fitted MGF seats to mine as the runners had been cut/bodged already by a PO - these have the runners already in place and just needed bolting in.

  3. The passenger seat is detachable. A bar at the front hooks over two hooked brackets that are missing from your seat pedestal. From memory, one is bolted, the other is welded. The seat back hooks onto the U-shaped bar that you have on the seat pedestal upright.

  4. Would it be something like this that is missing?

And I seem to be missing a bar from the seat?

And the bit circled is the bar on your seat that locates into the bracket. [IMG]

  8. Yep, and the seat bar is as in Jame’s post. Looks like you’ve got the seat back hook and plastic buffers already.

They made the passenger seat removal from the delivery van days. Drivers could stuff a few more parcels on the passenger side.

  11. they need fuel and a lighter
And are mostly held together with gaffer tape.
I didn’t have any seats for the old beast and was offed they for £20 the pair

I’ll post a pic tomorrow of just how good they are.

  12. Do we really want to see ?

They can be resurrected if you're willing to spend a few bob. In good shape, Bay seats are really comfy.

Ditto snotty’s advice. Get ‘em reupholstered and they’re a delight to use.
