I have no sympathy for her AT ALL!!! She started her demonising of the less well off and unfortunate when she was Home Secretary and didn't do anything to turn around austerity on her watch as PM. I'm more worried about who they will pick as a replacement. The knobs lined up are even more conniving and self interested that TM was.
Sorry bud - there really isn't. The Civil Service is known for its lack of talented individuals, which is why so few ever go to private sector and simply drift around various local and central government departments. Big difference between being genuinely nice people, and having a mindset that you are entrusted with people's information and taxes and consequentially you should be giving them a top quality service - rather than hiding shortcoming by outsourcing it to private sector who offer little value and huge expense.
There have been some good brains over the years though, although rare. Agree that the public sector is to some extent a refuge for the talentless. They wouldn't last five minutes in the real world. Edit: actually, a large extent.
Some truth in this one https://www.thedailymash.co.uk/anim...QZNK1bM1QQEZJbnwqP6SfnifkXlquJe4ZtMqpjb4Eu0O4
That's the problem - something like 99% have never worked outside of the Civil Service and actually think they are really good at what they do!
When we get Brexit, I'm sending all the people who voted Leave on a holiday picking carrots in East Anglia in January, to show them the best paid jobs in the Britain they voted for.. or did I dream that ?
