The yellow light on my Propex HS2000 comes on as soon as it fires up and remains on.
In the operating instructions it says PCB not fired up....yet the heater appears to be working fine.
Has anyone experienced this and have any suggestions, before I follow the operating instructions to the letter and contact Propex ?

  2. Just speak to propex. My experience is they are very helpful and dont want you to part with cash unnecessarily. Nowt lost and possibly problem solved. I dont have that model so i cant comment on the fault

I find if I haven’t used it for a while I need to run it on fresh air mode for 30 seconds or so then turn it to heat.

Though this doesn’t sound like the issue you have.

  5. That’s what I do if the orange light flashes. It’s worth a go

    I do the same

  7. Copycat. If they told you to stick your head down the toilet, I bet you'd do it.

  11. Have you tried the reset routine, I do sometime have an issue with start up but, reset it and its fine. I know you don't seem to have a gas lockout but, it costs nothing to try.

Gas Lockouts Gas lockouts must be cleared by first moving the temperature knob to MAX. Then on the control knob go from gas on (flame) position to off position then back to the on position. The complete sequence of switch movements must be completed within 2.5 seconds for a lockout to be successfully cleared. If there is air in the gas line, e.g. after a gas bottle change, the space heater may require several attempts before it lights.

Thanks for all the input.....originally had it on just fan, but will try gas lockout tomorrow.
Just seems strange that it's working ok....except for yellow light....and unfortunately there's no bulb to unscrew!

  13. Or cover off and press reset button.

Which cover ? Took cover off Propex and removed/reconncted electrical connections.....didn't see a button!

  15. How can I describe it? Imagine the actual switch part that is under an external button. There's no " button" part to it inside the propex. Hope that helps.

Mine ran out of gas last weekend...took forever to restart it once I'd changed the gas...must have been purging or something like that

Mine works fine....I never normally use it, but it's a bit cold without at the moment!
Did a bit of YouTube research and it seems that both the green and yellow lights may be on when the heater is on, the yellow only flashing when there is an issue.

  18. Been using mine a lot, indeed most times I drive it to be honest. Toasy warm despite the daylight gaps in the front doors. That said, drive too fast and it get colder quicker!

Do you use the mounting plate for the pipes ? I've moved both of mine so they point rearwards and side by side but the heater cuts out over 40mph ...thinking about making a deflector plate ..

  20. Mine has cut out in the past . Not sure of the cause tbh. Normally its ok. Cant recall exact stipulations but recommendation was...exit from the side of the bus. Inlet towards the front.(facing out of course) Theres a max distance between the two can't recall exactly and i think the maximum inlet and exhaust pipe length was 3.5m in total or there about.

Would like a bracket. Will make one at some point i reckon.
